Hey! I'm Amy - artist, teacher, adventurer.
As the child of a Bermudian flight attendant and travel-loving New Hampshirite, I have always been a globe trotter. My childhood was full of adventure - playing with local kids in a remote Spanish village, skiing the foot of the Matterhorn and trips to the Louvre.
My appreciation for culture, connection, and expression fit perfectly with becoming an artist. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from UNH and went on to get a M. Ed. I taught public school art for six years, but something was missing - freedom. I left my teaching job and started Home Remedy Studio - a true antidote to the busyness and constraints of school life.
My cozy home studio has since become a sanctuary for creativity. It has allowed my own painting practice to flourish. Even better, it’s a space where kids (and the young at heart!) can learn and grow and develop their own creative voice.
Do you have a child who LOVES art? Want to make more time for your own artistic interests? Contact me at amy@homeremedystudio.com to chat about lessons at my place or an art party at yours! It’s never too late to start prioritizing what makes you happy.
Sincerely,
Amy
